The Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen launched a variety of environmental protection activities in response of the 2017 earth hour on Mar 25th, 2017.

 
In order to response to the 2017 earth hour activity, the Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiame organized more than 50 staffs to participate the striding activity along the island ring road for more than 8 kilometers, this is aim at advocating the “low-carbon green” life concept in the city by picking up garbage along the way as well as bringing share-bike to original place.

 
On the evening of 25th, March, 2017, The Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen responded to the 2017 Earth Hour by the serious actions of Switch off hotel building neon light and LED; turn off the main lights of lobby, public areas, restaurants, bars and each floor aisles and energy-saving lights was used instead from 8:30pm-9:30pm. Broadcast Earth Hour Video in lobby, offer a variety of vegetables, fruit and drinks in outlets and offer the guest with discounts, which was encourage the in house guest to participate in our 2017 earth hour.

“This is the successive sixth year we participated in the Earth Hour by WWF, as a member of this global village as well as the Golf Left Green Hotel, it is our responsibility to take action to respond to the global Earth Hour activity.” Mr. Simon Jim, the General Manager of Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen said “the Earth Hour told us that, the world would be different by the small actions of everyone around us. As the change of environment will finally affect every one of us and our family, even the hotel business, therefore, taking action to the earth for a better living environment are both our responsibility and obligations.”
